Identification tips for aluminum tube bunnings?
Time: 2024-09-27

1. Visual Assessment

Inspect the surface markings of the aluminum tube bunnings and evaluate both the inner and outer layers through careful observation and tactile examination.

2. Flame Test

Ignite the tube using an open flame. Authentic aluminum-plastic pipes are manufactured with ultrasonic welding or hydrogen arc welding, resulting in tightly sealed joints. When exposed to flame, the aluminum should not peel off. In contrast, counterfeit products often have poorly executed welds, which can lead to flaking when burned.

3. Cutting Evaluation

Utilize a pipe cutter to slice the aluminum tube bunnings into spirals, then manually separate the aluminum layer from the PE layer. Genuine aluminum-plastic pipes have a five-layer composite structure, ensuring a strong adhesion between the aluminum and PE layers, making them hard to detach. However, inferior products typically have a weak bond, allowing for easy separation.

4. Pressure Testing

Use a small pressure pump to evaluate the pressure tolerance of the tube. Genuine aluminum-plastic pipes usually demonstrate a high burst pressure that meets or exceeds industry standards. Conversely, substandard products generally have a lower burst pressure, making them unsuitable for practical use.
